Description
This session is part of the Non-Opioid Module of the Pain Management Certification, which explores diverse pain management treatment plans involving treatments other than prescription opioids during the opioid crisis. This session will first review the structural classes of benzodiazepines. This session will distinguish the respective pharmacological differences amongst benzodiazepines with particular attention to duration of action and metabolism. Finally, this session will emphasize the clinical repercussions of too rapid of a taper of benzodiazepine medications.
