Drug Diversion Prevention for West Virginia Pharmacy Practice – WV Approved

$21.00

Description

Year after year, West Virginia has had the highest fatal drug overdose rate in the country, most recently in 2019 with 52.8 deaths per 100,000 people. Approximately 2 million Americans live with prescription opioid dependence or abuse opioids. Studies have shown a strong and consistent linear relationship between the number of opioids prescribed and dispensed with morbidity and mortality associated with these chemicals. With these facts in mind, it is more imperative than ever that healthcare practitioners understand how best to prevent drug diversion, while also protecting their patients.

This course has been approved by the West Virginia Board of Pharmacy to meet the 2.0 hour Drug Diversion Requirement.
