Description
This session is part of the Non-Opioid Module of the Pain Management Certification, which explores diverse pain management treatment plans involving treatments other than prescription opioids during the opioid crisis. This session will first review the mechanism of action for gabapentinoid medications, allowing for a robust discussion on the appropriate patient recommendations for gabapentinoid medications based on pharmacological properties. Finally, this session will review adjuvant pain medications including antiarrhythmic, antiepileptic, and NMDA antagonist pain medications based on pharmacological properties.
