Description
This session is part of the Non-Opioid Module of the Pain Management Certification, which explores diverse pain management treatment plans involving treatments other than prescription opioids during the opioid crisis. This session will first distinguish between muscle spasticity and muscle spasms, to then review how to distinguish muscle relaxant medication selection based on the respective diagnosis of either muscle spasticity or spasms. This session will also discuss the unique pharmacological characteristics of individual muscle relaxant medications utilized for the treatment spasticity or spasms.
