Description
This session is part of the Opioid Module, which explores the safe and effective utilization of prescription opioids within diverse pain management treatment plans during the opioid crisis. This session seeks to identify appropriate proactive patient education on the most common side effects of opioid medications including Opioid-Induced Constipation (OIC), Opioid-Induced Nausea/Vomiting (OINV), amongst many others. Naloxone is discussed within the context of opioid overdose rescue, as well as various adjuvant treatments for opioid withdrawal symptoms.
