In a podcast style discussion, Mike Corvino, PharmD and Cole Swanson, PharmD examine medications used for weight loss in adults. There are questions around some of the newer options that they will try to answer. Pharmacists and nurses regularly encounter patients who take these medications. It is important that pharmacists and nurses understand how to appropriately use these medications and know who can benefit from them. Also, the name recognition of some of the medications in the news may prompt questions from patients.
